Cardio Core Thursday and Wednesday Arms

Hello Fluffies,

This was yesterday's workout.
It was arms day and because I thought I would be making a trip to the zoo with my boyfriend, I only did 3 workout videos thinking that I would be clocking in alot calories burned in the cardio department. Unfortunately, we were stuck in Vivocity due to the rainy weather :/

I had the intention of finishing up my arm workout today but decided not to because I got lazy lol

So for today, its cardio core!

1.Flat Belly fat burner:

2. 5 min Fat burner:

3. 5 Best Abs exercises:

4. POP Pilates: Hot Abs:

6. Thigh trimmer & Butt Lifter:

I ended it off by switching one of the ab workouts to a butt workout just because.

I found out something amazing today.. I can do fried barley! So yay to more fibre and lower GI carb alternative :) If you're wondering, this lunchtime mess is fried barley with vegetables and eggs with sriracha sauce topped with sesame seeds.

After my student orientation session at SIM (I was so nervous for some reason), I spent a part of my afternoon waiting in Wang Coffeeshop for my passport photo to be done. While waiting, I decided to do some sketching to kill time.

Monday Butt and Tuesday Core

Hello fluffies,
Beware, its BLOGILATES MANIAAAAA
I guess for most of this week, I will just stick to the blogilates calendar. Didn't want to think about what to do and actually, my butt is still feeling pretty sore from the gym session on Sunday.

So for Monday I only did 2 workout videos,
(plus a whole lotta walking with my boyfriend, shopping around town for his wardrobe ^^):

1. Perfect legs workout:

2. Thigh Trimmer & Butt Lifter:

3. SHOPPING IS GOOD CARDIO
4. Ice cream and waffles for my daily 20% cheat XD

For Tuesday's core day, it is good that I have to cram yesterday's leg work into today. I like working a bit of my lower everyday. Slow and steady wins the race right?

1. Sexy Legs Cocktail dress workout:

2. Legs on Fire:

3. Corset workout for slim waist:

4. Tough love handles workout:

5. 5 Best lower ab moves:

6. POP pilates abominable abdominals:

7. Uh Oh ultimate pilates workout:

Just so you know, yes Tuesday's workout is long and my waist area is hurting pretty bad now from all those core work. But in a good kind of sore way :)

Cardio Saturday & Sunday Bunday

Hello fluffiess.

It's Sunday!
And Sunday is gym day for my butt! But it wasn't much of a workout for my butt. I think I should better plan my time spent at the gym.

No cardio today... Because.... I got lazy lol.
1. Squats with 20kg weights each side with 15kg barbell:
  • 2 sets of 10 reps
Squats with 15kg weights each side with 15kg barbell:
  • 1 sets of 10 reps
Squats with 17.5kg weights each side with 15kg barbell:
  • 1 sets of 8 reps
Suddenly, squats seem soooo tiring to me. :(
2. Walking lunges with 2.5kg weights each side with 10kg barbell with my arms raised:
  • 4 sets of 12 steps
3. Hamstring extensions with 4kg weight:
  • 4 sets of 8 reps
4. Quad extensions with 4kg weight (I hate these):
  • 4 sets of 8 reps
5. Seated Calves raises with 20kg weight:
  • 4 sets of 10 reps
That was it... I totally forgot about dead lifts oh man.. but my butt is hurting a little from the squats tho!

Met up with my babe earlier today for a day out to shop at the garden flea market at Triple One somerset. Our main intention was to go there and stuff ourselves with cake from Cupplets. But there wasn't any left when we got there! :'{ BOOHOOOOO

But we eventually got our dessert fix from Domani restaurant cafe. However, the desserts were from Rive Gauche.

Mine was the mango mousse cake and Joyce's was cheesecake with biscuit crumbles. They were pretty good~! Although I still find khairul's souffle sponge cake is better.

Anyway, I did not update yesterday's workout because I just wasn't in the mood. So I'm gonna put it in today's post.
1. Ultimate Hiit Workout:
Can I say I'm a little disappointed? I thought it would be more intense just because it's Cynthia. This workout just wasn't that good..
2. Heartbeat Heaven Hiit workout:

3. POP pilates: Pick me up:

4. The Ultimate Hot Body workout:

I like putting weights onto my hips for the bridges.

This is one of the best things that happen to me. I'm in love with cats and furry animals in general. Here's a good shot of me and woowoo.

Friday 'Restday' workout

Hi Fluffies,

On the blogilates calendar, I'm supposed to be resting today but I didn't want to since I've rested enough for the past week. Cardio workouts are definitely on my list today!

1. Best Cardio Workout Kickboxing:

I really like this workout because it really tires me out. I like to hold weights in place of jumping rope and when I have to throw punches. I know I tend to lax while i throw my punches so I hold weights to make sure I work a little harder.

2. Victoria's Secret Cardio Workout:
This wasn't too bad. I think this is the first time I'm doing this workout. Quite a breeze compared to the first workout lol.

3. Thigh Trimmer & Butt Lifter:

4. Beach ready butt challenge:

I think I did alot more cardio today, walking around town with my boyfriend. We had Ilao Ilao again yayyy. Have you had Ilao Ilao before? It's getting quite popular at the moment so we had to queue quite abit to get my frozen yoghurt fix. Miss the days when we would come and there would be no queue at all because it was still pretty much unknown.

Getting back on track Thursday

Hello fluffies,

So its been a week since I've worked out and boy was it weird to head to the shower without sweat on my skin. I always make it a point to sweat a little (at least) everytime before I head to the shower. So I like to do some squats etc.

A week of being cardio-less made me want to blast some cardio workout, just to make me feel better about all those food that I had.

1. Jillian Michaels: Banish Fat Boost Metabolism Workout:
I only made managed to finish up until the 40th min. I just couldn't carry on anymore.

2. Victoria's secret Bombshell Butt workout:
And of course I had to work my butt after a week of not doing any butt work!

3. POP Pilates: Pippa's Butt workout:

4. POP Pilates: Super Butt Workout:

I feel really tired after today's workout. It's pretty crazy how within a week, my stamina for cardio work have taken a dip. (even after a week long of carb loading lol)

I tried to press on for as long as I could, stopping when I started seeing stars. Every time I try to do cardio exercise again after a hiatus, I would vomit or get dizzy. I would definitely stop immediately and take a rest. The subsequent exercise sessions would get more manageable afterwards.

It is important not to push yourself too hard. Your body is your temple. Be kind to your body and you will see results that you want.

Amazing Thailand, Amazing Krabi, Amazing Company Part Two

As you can tell, we did alot of eating during our trip and they weren't the healthiest food around. I pretty much YOLOed meal everyday. In fact, I had ice cream everyday because the magnums and cornettos are really cheap in Krabi!

Continuing from my previous post..

Day 5:
4 Island sunset tour plus BBQ dinner.

But first, we've got to have our breakfast!

Vermicelli Pad Thai with vegetables and egg for me while pork porridge for my boyfriend.

We found some fishes left behind by the local fishermen and tried to bring them back for the neighbourhood cats.

Our 4 island tour revolved around Poda Island greatly. It was our first stop and we even had our dinner there.

Catching the wonderful sunset on the beach of Poda Island with my boyfriend.
It ended with a boat ride to a wall of one of the islands and we got to see glowing planktons! It was like magic! Unfortunately it is very hard to take a picture of them because they only glow when disturbed and they weren't enough of them to be bright enough to take a picture.

Day 6:
Last day in Ao Nang and off To the markets again!

We stopped over at a coffee place to chill and wait for the rain to pass. It is currently the off-peak rainy season. Its usually a little cloudy and grey.

Day 7:
Arrived in Krabi Town and the quest for Anchali.

We did a crazy load of walking today! So much walking I missed the bike so bad. However, we did discover some interesting places and of course, the local markets! It is surprising because I really did not expect much to be happening around the town since it is a weekday. But market walking oh yes we did.

This is the corridor of our hotel, Hometel. It is a creepy ass place hahaha my goodness. I wouldn't have stayed here alone. This picture is a too-kind depiction of the real place.

While we were in Ao Nang, we came across a local magazine and read about a restaurant called Ruen Mai Thai Seafood Restaurant. It has been around for over 20 years and we didn't want to give it a miss since we love eating. We got intrigued and did some further research and realised that the original Ruen Mai has been taken over by the former head chef and now named Anchali
Here's my boyfriend trying to mimic my thumbs up pose, he's perfecting it already.

We reached at about 5pm and ordered 4 dishes in total and couldn't finish the mango salad because we were toooooo fuuulllllll. The southern coconut cream soup was delicious. It had so much bamboo shoots inside and I love bamboo shoots. The curry fried crab really good too!
We ordered the burnt eggplant with shrimps as well. The smokey flavour in the soft juicy eggplant soaked in a slightly tart sauce, topped with mint leaves and spring onions was like a beautiful orchestra.

The restaurant looks so beautiful and romantic at night. It was just so so amazing.

We took a long walk back into the town area as we were really full. So back at the market, we bought some breakfast for the next day and look what we spotted!

Cakes for sale at a local night market. I was so amused by it lol.

Day 8:
Home sweet home
This is the first ever overseas trip that I've taken with my prince Ahbubu. I couldn't be happier,  thank you for taking care of me, driving me around and giving in to me all the time, showing me the world, singing to me while on the bike.
I felt really scared at first because I've never been on a motorbike before. But I've gotten so used to riding behind you. I actually miss being on a bike with you now. I miss watching bedtime movies with you already :( I'm sad our little adventure is over..

Although I don't see us coming back in the near future.. I see us going on many more adventures, further and further each time :)

Amazing Thailand, Amazing Krabi, Amazing Company Part One

Helloo fluffies,

Its been.. more than a week. I just got home this afternoon after spending a wonderful week in Krabi. Wasn't exactly off the grid but pretty much most of the time and I really appreciate the moments when I could see the world without instant access to the web.

I decided to do this post instead of heading straight to bed because I'm feeling too awake right now from stressing about some personal development issues at the moment. Hopefully after doing this post, I'll feel a little bit better.

Day One:

Onward to Krabi!
I've never been on a budget airline before so it was a really amusing experience for me because I have never seen adverts in a plane before. Kinda reminds me of how buses are too.

The mandatory pic of my plane among the clouds :)

After we landed, we had to buy tickets to get on a bus which will bring us to the place which we would be staying for the next 6 nights, Ao Nang Beach.

After reaching, we simply put down our stuffs and took a stroll along the street, looking for dinner because we were really hungry. Unfortunately, due to lack of pre-empting the dinner crowd, we ended up waiting nearly an hour for our pad thai and fried rice at E-san Seafood restaurant. We didn't even manage to eat our mango salad because it was too long a wait. The auntie doing the cooking was really nice tho and the food was good, albeit a tad too oily to be on the healthy side but hey, anything with enough oil and sugar tastes good.

Day 2:
White water rafting & elephant trekking

We officially kicked start our adventure by leaving the hotel by 8am to go for white water rafting and elephant trekking. It was a full day thing so a buffet lunch was served. Rafting was really fun and I enjoyed it alot.

I can't say the same for the elephant trekking. It is heart breaking to see the elephant tamers using sharp hammers to control the elephants. I would not recomment elephant trekking to anyone. Especially not from 'Island Safari' tours. Like seriously, just stay the hell away from this tour planner when it comes to elephant trekking. Our 30minute ride ended up as a sad and short little stroll within a zoo-like compound. Monkeys were made to do tricks continuously and some of the baby elephants look like they've gone mad whenever loud electronic music is played. I'm pretty sure that there are more ethical elephant trekking tours out there as I've seen the elephants roam the forests.

Beware of the crazy green chilli in the Som Tum. I nearly died because it was SO SPICY.

The very awesome thai pancake. but not so awesome combination choice on our part. This is pineapple pancake and it tastes kinda weird.

Day 3:
Kayaking in Ao Thalane
Breakfast at an Italian restaurant. Bad decision. Overpriced for a measly portion of food.

The prettier part of the beach is filled with make shift massage parlors. Not the sleazy kind though.. Or maybe they were but it looked very open.

On our way back to the hotel, we decided to try the Pad thai from one of the road side stalls. It was really tasty!

We did an afternoon of kayaking in Ao Thalane, amongst mangroves. It was a really eye opening experience. Though t wasn't fun sitting in murky looking waters with suspicious looking bubbles, I had lots of fun trying to kayak my way through narrow spaces. over underwater roots, ducking under the branches etc.

For dinner, we just kept walking along the streets and eating random food along the way.

We had a mango pancake topped with chocolate syrup. This one is definitely a better choice of combination.

Day 4:
Exploring markets after renting a bike. We love markets. I feel it is a very good way of looking at how the locals live and I love watching them and see what they buy. And because it was really just an adventure, we don't even know the names of the markets that we've stopped at :/

Paid a visit to the roadside foodstall auntie again. My boyfriend had this fried pork with rice while I had an omelette.

I believe alot of their desserts looks and tastes quite familiar to us because Krabi has a very large muslim community and they look just like malays.

These bunnies were sooo cute but too bad I can't buy them home :(

We pretty much settled out lunch there and stopped by Tesco to check out their local supermarket. But the greatest thing that we discovered was Southern Coffee. As you can see, my man's looking pretty gleeful.

On our way back to the hotel, we discovered another market!
